Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects doublesex- and mab-3-related transcription factor 1 (gene dmrt1) in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC.
DMRT1 is a transcription factor with a DM DNA-binding domain that is central to male sex determination and testis development. It maintains Sertoli cell identity and controls the switch between mitosis and meiosis in spermatogonia. DMRT1 is conserved across vertebrates and is studied in sex differentiation, spermatogenesis and germ cell tumors.

Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish ovary tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish DMRT1 fragment (Arg44–Glu76), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places doublesex- and mab-3-related transcription factor 1 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (zebrafish): Expressed in developing germ cells of both testis and ovary.
