Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects hypoxia-inducible factor-proline dioxygenase (gene egln1a) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
In zebrafish, egln1a encodes a HIF prolyl hydroxylase related to mammalian EGLN1 (PHD2). Such enzymes use oxygen to hydroxylate hypoxia-inducible factor α subunits and target them for degradation, and zebrafish egln1a is used to study hypoxia responses.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant zebrafish EGLN1A fragment (Met1–Ser328), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places hypoxia-inducible factor-proline dioxygenase in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
