Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects mitogen-activated protein kinase (gene mapk1) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
ERK2 (MAPK1) is a serine/threonine kinase at the end of the RAS–RAF–MEK–ERK cascade. Activated by MEK1/2, it phosphorylates hundreds of cytoplasmic and nuclear substrates, including transcription factors that control proliferation, differentiation and survival, and phosphorylated ERK1/2 is one of the most common readouts of mitogenic signaling; zebrafish mapk1 is used in developmental studies.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue, zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish MAPK1 fragment (Ala20–Pro369), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places mitogen-activated protein kinase in the cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
