Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes eukaryotic peptide chain release factor subunit 1 (gene etf1a) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC.
In zebrafish, etf1a encodes eukaryotic peptide chain release factor subunit 1 (eRF1), one of two duplicated copies. eRF1 recognizes stop codons in the ribosomal A site and, with eRF3, releases the completed polypeptide to end translation.
| Target | Eukaryotic peptide chain release factor subunit 1 (gene etf1a; UniProt A8KB65, zebrafish) |

| Storage | As supplied: −20 °C for up to 12 months from receipt. After reconstitution: 4 °C for up to 1 month, or aliquot and keep at −20 °C for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. |
Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|---|
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish brain tissue, zebrafish kidney tissue, zebrafish pancreas tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish ETF1a/b fragment (Asp9–Lys344), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places eukaryotic peptide chain release factor subunit 1 in the cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
