Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets brain-type fatty-acid binding protein (gene fabp7a) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
In zebrafish, fabp7a encodes a brain-type fatty acid-binding protein, one of two duplicated orthologs of mammalian FABP7. Brain FABPs bind polyunsaturated fatty acids in radial glia and neural progenitors, and zebrafish fabp7a is used as a marker in studies of neural development and glia.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue, zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 12% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish FABP7A/B fragment (Met1–Ala132), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
