Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets foxa1 protein in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot and ICC/IF.
FOXA1 (HNF-3α) is a forkhead transcription factor that acts as a pioneer factor: it can bind compacted chromatin and open it so other transcription factors can reach their targets. It is important in development of the liver, pancreas, lung and prostate and guides estrogen and androgen receptor binding in breast and prostate cancer.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue, zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): zebrafish embryo tissue.

Recombinant zebrafish FOXA1 fragment (Met1–Gln416), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places foxa1 protein in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
