Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes transcription factor GATA-3 (gene gata3) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
GATA3 is a zinc-finger transcription factor best known as the master regulator of T helper 2 (Th2) cell differentiation and a key factor for T-cell development. It also controls development of the kidney, inner ear and mammary gland, and it is widely used as a marker of luminal breast and urothelial carcinomas. GATA3 is studied in zebrafish as well, particularly in ear and kidney development.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue, zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish GATA3 fragment (Met1–Ser432), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places transcription factor GATA-3 in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
