Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes transcription factor GATA-4 (gene gata4) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
GATA4 is a zinc-finger transcription factor that is central to heart development and function. It works with partners such as NKX2-5 and TBX5 to activate cardiac genes and also acts in the gut, liver and gonads. Mutations in GATA4 are linked to congenital heart defects, and zebrafish is a common model for studying its role in heart formation and regeneration.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue, zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant zebrafish GATA4 fragment (Met1–Met332), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places transcription factor GATA-4 in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
