Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects glucocorticoid receptor (gene nr3c1) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
The glucocorticoid receptor (GR, NR3C1) is a ligand-activated nuclear receptor for cortisol and synthetic glucocorticoids. On hormone binding it moves to the nucleus, binds glucocorticoid response elements and also restrains other transcription factors such as NF-κB and AP-1. GR mediates anti-inflammatory, metabolic and stress responses and is widely studied in endocrinology and immunology.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant zebrafish Glucocorticoid receptor/NR3C1 fragment (Met1–Lys746), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places glucocorticoid receptor in the cytoplasm, mitochondrion and nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
