Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects glutamate dehydrogenase (gene glud1a) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC.
In zebrafish, glud1a encodes a glutamate dehydrogenase, an enzyme that interconverts glutamate and α-ketoglutarate. Its specific roles in zebrafish have not been fully characterized.
| Target | Glutamate dehydrogenase (gene glud1a; UniProt Q6NZ29, zebrafish) |
|---|---|
| Host / Clonality / Isotype | Rabbit / Polyclonal / Rabbit IgG |

| Storage | As supplied: −20 °C for up to 12 months from receipt. After reconstitution: 4 °C for up to 1 month, or aliquot and keep at −20 °C for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. |
Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|---|
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish heart tissue, zebrafish kidney tissue, zebrafish colon tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish GLUD1a/b fragment (Ser40–Ala539), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places glutamate dehydrogenase in the mitochondrion. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
