Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets grpE protein homolog (gene grpel1) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC.
GrpE-like 1 (GRPEL1) is a mitochondrial nucleotide exchange factor for mitochondrial HSP70 (mortalin, HSPA9). By helping HSPA9 release ADP and rebind ATP, it keeps the chaperone cycle turning within the import motor that pulls precursor proteins through the TIM23 translocase into the matrix. GRPEL1 is studied in mitochondrial protein import and proteostasis.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish liver tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places grpE protein homolog in the mitochondrion matrix. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
