Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects histone deacetylase 1 (gene hdac1) in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC.
Histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1) is a class I deacetylase that removes acetyl groups from lysines on core histones and other proteins. Removing acetyl groups from histone tails generally compacts chromatin and represses transcription. It works within corepressor complexes such as Sin3, NuRD and CoREST, often with HDAC2, and is studied in gene regulation, development and cancer.

| Host / Clonality / Isotype | Rabbit / Polyclonal / Rabbit IgG |
| Reactivity | Zebrafish |
| Form | Lyophilized |
| Formulation | Per vial: 4 mg trehalose; 0.9 mg NaCl; 0.2 mg Na2HPO4 |
| Storage | As supplied: −20 °C for up to 12 months from receipt. After reconstitution: 4 °C for up to 1 month, or aliquot and keep at −20 °C for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. |
Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish brain tissue, zebrafish colon tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the middle region of zebrafish HDAC1.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places histone deacetylase 1 in the nucleus.
