Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes high mobility group protein B2 (gene hmgb2a) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC.
In zebrafish, hmgb2a encodes one of two paralogs of high mobility group protein B2, a conserved HMG-box chromatin protein that binds and bends DNA. Its specific roles in fish have not been fully characterized.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue, zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish brain tissue, zebrafish esophagus tissue, zebrafish colon tissue, zebrafish muscle tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.

Recombinant zebrafish HMGB2a/b fragment (Lys64–Arg97), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt describes high mobility group protein B2 as secreted and also located in the chromosome, cytoplasm and nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
