Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes estradiol 17-beta-dehydrogenase (gene hsd17b1) in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC.
17β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 (HSD17B1) converts the weak estrogen estrone into the potent estrogen estradiol, using NADPH. It is highly expressed in placenta and ovarian granulosa cells, and it is studied in estrogen-dependent tissues and hormone-sensitive cancers.
| Target | Estradiol 17-beta-dehydrogenase (gene hsd17b1; UniProt F1QUP2, zebrafish) |
|---|---|
| Host / Clonality / Isotype | Rabbit / Polyclonal / Rabbit IgG |
| Reactivity | Zebrafish |
| Form | Lyophilized |
| Formulation | Per vial: 4 mg trehalose; 0.9 mg NaCl; 0.2 mg Na2HPO4 |
| Storage | As supplied: −20 °C for up to 12 months from receipt. After reconstitution: 4 °C for up to 1 month, or aliquot and keep at −20 °C for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. |
Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish ovary tissue, zebrafish brain tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish HSD17B1 fragment (Glu99–Lys293), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places estradiol 17-beta-dehydrogenase in the cytoplasm.
