Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects endoplasmic reticulum chaperone BIP (gene hspa5) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC.
BiP (HSPA5, also called GRP78) is the main HSP70 chaperone of the endoplasmic reticulum lumen. It helps fold and assemble newly made secreted and membrane proteins, holds misfolded ones for degradation, and controls the unfolded protein response sensors IRE1, PERK and ATF6. It is a standard marker of ER stress.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue, zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish liver tissue, zebrafish colon tissue, zebrafish pancreas tissue, zebrafish testis tissue, zebrafish brain tissue, zebrafish spinal cord tissue, zebrafish kidney tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish HSPA5 fragment (Asp103–Leu650), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places endoplasmic reticulum chaperone BIP in the endoplasmic reticulum lumen. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
