Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets insulin-like growth factor 1 (gene igf1) in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC.
Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) is a peptide hormone, produced mainly by the liver under growth hormone control, that is structurally related to insulin. Acting through the IGF-1 receptor, it promotes cell growth, proliferation and survival and mediates many effects of growth hormone on body growth and metabolism.

| Formulation | Per vial: 4 mg trehalose; 0.9 mg NaCl; 0.2 mg Na2HPO4 |
| Storage | As supplied: −20 °C for up to 12 months from receipt. After reconstitution: 4 °C for up to 1 month, or aliquot and keep at −20 °C for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. |
Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish brain tissue, zebrafish pancreas tissue, zebrafish colon tissue, zebrafish ovary tissue, zebrafish muscle tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish IGF1 fragment (Gly45–Met161), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt describes insulin-like growth factor 1 as a secreted protein.
