Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes interferon regulatory factor 3 isoform X1 (gene irf3) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
Interferon regulatory factor 3 (IRF3) is a transcription factor that drives type I interferon production during viral infection. Sensing pathways such as RIG-I/MAVS, cGAS–STING and TLR3/4–TRIF activate the kinase TBK1, which phosphorylates IRF3 so it can dimerize, enter the nucleus and induce IFN-β and interferon-stimulated genes.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant zebrafish IRF3 fragment (Ser92–Leu312), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places interferon regulatory factor 3 isoform X1 in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
