Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes left-right determination factor (gene lft1) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
In zebrafish, lft1 encodes Lefty1, a secreted TGF-β superfamily protein that antagonizes Nodal signaling. It limits the range of Nodal activity during early embryogenesis, helping pattern the mesoderm and endoderm and establish left–right asymmetry, and zebrafish is a key model for studying this role.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish LFT1 fragment (Arg19–Lys312), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt describes left-right determination factor as a secreted protein. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
