Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects rhombotin-2 (gene lmo2) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC.
LMO2 (rhombotin-2) is a LIM-only transcriptional cofactor that assembles a multiprotein complex with TAL1/SCL, GATA1 and LDB1. This complex is essential for the formation of blood stem cells and red blood cells, and it also plays a role in blood vessel development. Aberrant LMO2 expression drives some T-cell acute leukemias, and zebrafish lmo2 is a common marker of early blood and endothelial cells.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|---|
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish spinal cord tissue, zebrafish kidney tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish LMO2 fragment (Met1–Val159), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places rhombotin-2 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (zebrafish): During embryogenesis, expressed in hematopoietic and endothelial precursors, including the two stripes of posterior and anterior lateral plate mesoderm at the 1-somite stage that give rise to the primitive blood. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
