Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets lon protease homolog, mitochondrial (gene lonp1) in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC.
LONP1 is an ATP-dependent protease of the mitochondrial matrix that degrades misfolded, damaged and short-lived regulatory proteins. It also acts as a chaperone and helps maintain mitochondrial DNA by controlling levels of proteins such as TFAM, making it a key part of mitochondrial protein quality control. LONP1 is studied in mitochondrial stress responses and inherited mitochondrial disease, and zebrafish lonp1 is used in developmental studies.
