Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes E3 ubiquitin-protein transferase MAEA in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
MAEA (macrophage erythroblast attacher) is a core subunit of the CTLH E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, where it works with RMND5A to provide catalytic activity. It also mediates contact between erythroblasts and central macrophages in erythroblastic islands, supporting red blood cell maturation and nuclear extrusion; in zebrafish, maea is studied in blood development.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant zebrafish MAEA fragment (Met1–Glu349), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places E3 ubiquitin-protein transferase MAEA in the nucleus matrix, cell membrane and cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
