Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes N(6)-adenosine-methyltransferase subunit METTL3 in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC.
METTL3 is the catalytic subunit of the main m6A methyltransferase complex, which it forms with METTL14 and WTAP. It installs N6-methyladenosine, the most abundant internal modification of mRNA, thereby affecting mRNA splicing, export, stability and translation. METTL3 is widely studied in development, stem cell differentiation, immunity and cancer.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|---|
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish colon tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish METTL3 fragment (Asp381–Asp575), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places N(6)-adenosine-methyltransferase subunit METTL3 in the nucleus, nucleus speckle and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (zebrafish): Expressed in the hemato-vascular system: enriched in sorted endothelial cells and haemogenic endothelium. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
