Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects interstitial collagenase (gene mmp13a.2) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC.
In zebrafish, mmp13a.2 encodes an interstitial collagenase related to mammalian MMP-13, a zinc-dependent matrix metalloproteinase that degrades fibrillar collagens. Zebrafish MMP-13-like enzymes are studied in tissue remodeling and regeneration.
| Target | Interstitial collagenase (gene mmp13a.2; UniProt F1QCX8, zebrafish) |

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|---|
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish spinal column tissue, zebrafish skin tissue, zebrafish spleen tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish MMP13A fragment (Asp110–Lys476), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
