Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects transcriptional regulator Myc-A (gene myca) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
In zebrafish, Myc-A (myca) is one of the fish homologs of the MYC proto-oncogene. Like other Myc proteins, it is a transcription factor that binds E-box DNA sequences and activates growth-related genes, and it is studied in zebrafish development and tumor models.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue, zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish MYCA fragment (Lys21–His419), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places transcriptional regulator Myc-A in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (zebrafish): High levels are seen in the kidney, gills and uterus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
