Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects protein myomixer (gene mymx) in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC.
Myomixer (mymx, also called myomerger or minion) is a small membrane protein expressed in fusing myoblasts. Working together with myomaker, it drives the late, pore-forming step of myoblast fusion that builds multinucleated muscle fibers, and zebrafish is a key model for studying it during muscle development.

| Form | Liquid |
| Formulation | 20 mM PBS; 50% glycerol; 0.02% NaN3 |
| Storage | Store at −20 °C for up to 12 months or 4 °C for up to 1 month. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. |
Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL |
|---|
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish skeletal muscle tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places protein myomixer in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (zebrafish): Specifically expressed in the developing myotome.
