Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 12A (gene ppp1r12a) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC.
Myosin phosphatase target subunit 1 (MYPT1, PPP1R12A) is the regulatory subunit that directs PP1 to myosin. The resulting myosin phosphatase dephosphorylates myosin light chain to relax smooth muscle, and its activity is inhibited by ROCK. MYPT1 also regulates cell division through PLK1, and it is studied in human cells and zebrafish development.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish brain tissue, zebrafish liver tissue, zebrafish muscle tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.

Recombinant zebrafish MYPT1/PPP1R12A fragment (Met1–Asp40), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 12A in the cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
