Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects nanos homolog 3 (gene nanos3) in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC.
In zebrafish, nanos3 encodes an RNA-binding protein of the Nanos family that represses translation of specific mRNAs in germ cells. It is essential for primordial germ cell migration and survival and for maintaining oocyte production in the adult ovary, and it is widely used as a germ cell marker in zebrafish.

Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places nanos homolog 3 in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (zebrafish): In the embryo, displays early ubiquitous expression before being restricted to primordial germ cells in a 3'-UTR-dependent manner.
