Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects transcription factor p65 isoform X1 (gene rela) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
RelA (p65) is the main transactivating subunit of the classical NF-κB transcription factor, most often paired with p50. Inactive NF-κB is held in the cytoplasm by IκB; stimuli such as TNF, IL-1 and microbial products trigger IκB degradation, allowing p65 to enter the nucleus and switch on inflammatory, immune and survival genes. p65 phosphorylation and nuclear translocation are standard readouts of NF-κB activation.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant zebrafish NF-κB p65/RELA fragment (Met1–Phe588), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places transcription factor p65 isoform X1 in the cytoplasm and nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
