Product Overview

This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects interleukin enhancer-binding factor 2 homolog (gene ilf2) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF.

NF45 (encoded by ILF2) is a nuclear RNA-binding protein that forms a stable heterodimer with NF90/ILF3. The NF45–NF90 complex influences transcription, mRNA stability and cell cycle progression, and it takes part in antiviral responses. NF45 is studied in gene regulation, cell proliferation and host–virus interactions.

Validated Applications

Western blot 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish)
IHC (paraffin sections) 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish)
Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence 5 µg/mL (Zebrafish)

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue, zebrafish embryo tissue.

Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.

Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish brain tissue.

Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.

Immunogen

Recombinant zebrafish NF45/ILF2 fragment (Tyr23–Lys356), expressed in E. coli.

Reactivity Notes

The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places interleukin enhancer-binding factor 2 homolog in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.

Safety

For research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. Handle with standard laboratory precautions.
Q.Which applications is this antibody validated for, and at what dilution?
A.Validated applications with suggested starting dilutions: Western blot 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish); IHC (paraffin sections) 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish); Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence 5 µg/mL (Zebrafish). Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory.
Q.Which species does this antibody react with?
A.Validated reactivity: Zebrafish. Other species are not listed by the supplier.
Q.What band size should be expected in Western blot?
A.Reported by the supplier: observed band at about 43 kDa.
Q.What immunogen was used to raise this antibody?
A.Recombinant zebrafish NF45/ILF2 fragment (Tyr23–Lys356), expressed in E. coli.
Q.How should this antibody be stored?
A.As supplied: −20 °C for up to 12 months from receipt. After reconstitution: 4 °C for up to 1 month, or aliquot and keep at −20 °C for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
