Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects otoferlin (gene otofa) in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC.
In zebrafish, otofa is one of two otoferlin genes, which encode large calcium-sensing ferlin proteins in sensory hair cells. Zebrafish otoferlin is studied as a model for synaptic vesicle release in hair cells of the inner ear and lateral line.

Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL |
|---|
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish brain tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places otoferlin in the basolateral cell membrane, endoplasmic reticulum membrane, Golgi apparatus membrane and Golgi apparatus.
