Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets delta-1-pyrroline-5-carboxylate synthase (gene aldh18a1) in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC.
ALDH18A1 encodes pyrroline-5-carboxylate synthase (P5CS), a bifunctional mitochondrial enzyme that turns glutamate into glutamate 5-semialdehyde. This intermediate feeds the synthesis of proline, ornithine and arginine, and ALDH18A1 mutations cause disorders of connective tissue and the nervous system.
