Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects lissencephaly-1 homolog A (gene pafah1b1a) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC.
In zebrafish, pafah1b1a encodes Lis1a, one of two fish homologs of human LIS1. By similarity to LIS1, it is expected to regulate dynein-driven microtubule transport and to serve as the regulatory subunit of PAF acetylhydrolase IB, with roles in neuronal proliferation and migration.
| Target | Lissencephaly-1 homolog A (gene pafah1b1a; UniProt Q7T394, zebrafish) |

| Form | Lyophilized |
| Formulation | Per vial: 4 mg trehalose; 0.9 mg NaCl; 0.2 mg Na2HPO4 |
| Storage | As supplied: −20 °C for up to 12 months from receipt. After reconstitution: 4 °C for up to 1 month, or aliquot and keep at −20 °C for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. |
Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|---|
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish brain tissue, zebrafish heart tissue, zebrafish colon tissue, zebrafish muscle tissue, zebrafish pancreas tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish PAFAH1B1a/b fragment (Ile95–Arg410), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places lissencephaly-1 homolog A in the cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
