Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes paired box protein Pax-6 (gene pax6a) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot and ICC/IF.
In zebrafish, pax6a encodes one of two fish orthologs of the PAX6 transcription factor. It is expressed in restricted regions of the developing neural tube and eye and is widely used as a marker in zebrafish studies of forebrain and eye development.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): zebrafish embryo tissue.

Recombinant zebrafish PAX6(A+B) fragment (Met1–Met401), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places paired box protein Pax-6 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (zebrafish): Spatially restricted regions of the neural tube. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
