Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (gene nampt1) in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC.
In zebrafish, nampt1 is one of the fish homologs of nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase, the enzyme that converts nicotinamide to nicotinamide mononucleotide in the NAD+ salvage pathway. It is studied in zebrafish models of metabolism and development.
| Target | Nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (gene nampt1; UniProt E7F8T6, zebrafish) |
|---|---|
| Host / Clonality / Isotype | Rabbit / Polyclonal / Rabbit IgG |
| Reactivity | Zebrafish |
| Form | Lyophilized |
| Formulation | Per vial: 4 mg trehalose; 0.9 mg NaCl; 0.2 mg Na2HPO4 |
| Storage | As supplied: −20 °C for up to 12 months from receipt. After reconstitution: 4 °C for up to 1 month, or aliquot and keep at −20 °C for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. |
Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish skeletal muscle tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish PBEF/NAMPT fragment (Gly62–Asn338), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt describes nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase as secreted and also located in the cytoplasm and nucleus.
