Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha (gene pdgfrb) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
PDGFRβ is a receptor tyrosine kinase activated by PDGF-BB, PDGF-AB and PDGF-DD. Its signaling recruits pericytes and vascular smooth muscle cells to growing blood vessels and drives mesenchymal cell proliferation and migration, so it is a common pericyte marker and is studied in vascular development, fibrosis and cancer; zebrafish is also used as a model.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant zebrafish PDGFRB fragment (Asn103–Arg493), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha in the cell membrane, cytoplasmic vesicle, lysosome lumen and membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
