Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase beta (gene pi4kb) in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC.
PI4KB (PI4Kβ) is a type III phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase that generates PI4P mainly at the Golgi, supporting secretory traffic from the Golgi to the plasma membrane. It is also hijacked by several positive-strand RNA viruses, such as enteroviruses, to build their replication organelles, making it a target in both membrane biology and antiviral research.

Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase beta in the endomembrane system, mitochondrion outer membrane and rough endoplasmic reticulum membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (zebrafish): Expressed in the inner ear otic vesicles.
