Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects pyruvate kinase (gene pklr) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
PKLR encodes the liver and red blood cell isoforms of pyruvate kinase, which convert phosphoenolpyruvate to pyruvate and generate ATP in the last step of glycolysis. Mutations in PKLR cause pyruvate kinase deficiency, a common inherited cause of nonspherocytic hemolytic anemia.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish PKLR fragment (Asp31–Asp503), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
