Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes DNA-directed RNA polymerase subunit beta (gene polr2b) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
POLR2B (RPB2) is the second-largest subunit of RNA polymerase II and, together with POLR2A, forms the enzyme's active center. RNA polymerase II synthesizes messenger RNA precursors and many non-coding RNAs, so POLR2B is a core part of gene transcription studies in human cells and in zebrafish.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 8% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish POLR2B fragment (Glu49–Gln1145), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places DNA-directed RNA polymerase subunit beta in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
