Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes POU domain, class 5, transcription factor 3 (gene pou5f3) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
In zebrafish, Pou5f3 (formerly Pou5f1 or Pou2) is a POU-domain transcription factor related to mammalian OCT4. It is active in the early embryo, where it helps keep cells undifferentiated, supports zygotic genome activation and is needed for normal gastrulation. It also contributes to hindbrain segment patterning and is studied in early vertebrate development.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue, zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish POU5F1/3 fragment (Met1–Ser472), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places POU domain, class 5, transcription factor 3 in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
