Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects rab3 GTPase-activating protein catalytic subunit (gene rab3gap1) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC.
RAB3GAP1 is the catalytic subunit of the Rab3 GTPase-activating complex, which switches off Rab3 proteins by accelerating GTP hydrolysis. Together with RAB3GAP2 it also activates Rab18, and RAB3GAP1 mutations cause Warburg micro syndrome, which affects eye, brain and genital development; zebrafish rab3gap1 is also studied.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|---|
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish brain tissue, zebrafish kidney tissue, zebrafish colon tissue, zebrafish heart tissue, zebrafish liver tissue, zebrafish spleen tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish RAB3GAP1 fragment (Asn109–Gln798), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places rab3 GTPase-activating protein catalytic subunit in the cytoplasm, endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
