Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets RNA-binding protein, mRNA-processing factor 2a (gene rbpms2a) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
In zebrafish, rbpms2a is one of two RBPMS2-like RNA-binding proteins. It is found in the Balbiani body and germ plasm of oocytes, where it has been linked with Bucky ball in setting up oocyte polarity and is thought to keep germ plasm mRNAs translationally silent. It is also studied as a splicing and translational regulator in other tissues.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 12% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish RBPMS2a/b fragment (Lys105–Gln190), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places RNA-binding protein, mRNA-processing factor 2a in the cytoplasm and nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
