Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes single-minded homolog 1-A (gene sim1a) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
In zebrafish, sim1a encodes a single-minded homolog, a bHLH-PAS transcription factor related to Drosophila single-minded. Its mammalian ortholog SIM1 is important for development of hypothalamic neuroendocrine neurons, and zebrafish sim1a is used to study forebrain and hypothalamic patterning during embryogenesis.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish tissue, zebrafish head tissue, zebrafish body tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places single-minded homolog 1-A in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
