Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes casanova (gene sox32) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
In zebrafish, Casanova (sox32) is a SoxF-related HMG-box transcription factor that is essential for endoderm formation. Acting downstream of Nodal signaling, it activates sox17 and other endodermal genes, and casanova mutants lack endoderm, making it a key gene in zebrafish studies of germ layer specification.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish SOX32 fragment (Met1–Lys307), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places casanova in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
