Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1 (gene srebf1) in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC.
In zebrafish, sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1 (srebf1) is a membrane-bound precursor of a transcription factor. When released from the membrane, its nuclear form binds sterol regulatory elements and E-box motifs to activate genes of cholesterol and fatty acid synthesis, and it is studied in zebrafish models of lipid metabolism.
| Target | Sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1 (gene srebf1; UniProt A6XLD8, zebrafish) |

| Formulation | Per vial: 4 mg trehalose; 0.9 mg NaCl; 0.2 mg Na2HPO4 |
| Storage | As supplied: −20 °C for up to 12 months from receipt. After reconstitution: 4 °C for up to 1 month, or aliquot and keep at −20 °C for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. |
Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish heart tissue, zebrafish liver tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish SREBF1 fragment (His20–Leu1096), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1 in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane, Golgi apparatus membrane and nucleus.
