Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects T-box transcription factor TBX5-A (gene tbx5a) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
In zebrafish, tbx5a is one of two paralogs of the T-box transcription factor TBX5. It is required for pectoral fin formation and, together with tbx5b, for heart looping and eye development, making zebrafish a useful model for studying TBX5 in heart and limb development.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue, zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish TBX5A fragment (Met1–Ser492), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places T-box transcription factor TBX5-A in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (zebrafish): Expressed in the dorsal optic cup of developing eye, pectoral fin buds and heart. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
