Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets transcription factor AP-2-alpha (gene tfap2a) in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC and ICC/IF.
AP-2α (TFAP2A) is a transcription factor that binds GC-rich AP-2 sites as a dimer. It is particularly important in neural crest cells and for development of the face, eye, limbs and body wall, and TFAP2A mutations cause branchio-oculo-facial syndrome.
| Target | Transcription factor AP-2-alpha (gene tfap2a; UniProt A0A2R8QRQ5, zebrafish) |

| Host / Clonality / Isotype | Rabbit / Polyclonal / Rabbit IgG |
| Reactivity | Zebrafish |
| Form | Liquid |
| Formulation | 20 mM PBS; 50% glycerol; 0.02% NaN3 |
| Storage | Store at −20 °C for up to 12 months or 4 °C for up to 1 month. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles. |
Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL |
|---|---|
| Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence | 4 µg/mL |
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish esophagus tissue, zebrafish brain tissue, zebrafish kidney tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): zebrafish embryos tissue.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places transcription factor AP-2-alpha in the nucleus.
