Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets transforming growth factor beta (gene tgfb1a) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC.
In zebrafish, tgfb1a is one of the paralogs of TGF-β1, a secreted cytokine made as a latent precursor with a latency-associated peptide. Like its mammalian counterpart, it signals through TGF-β receptors and SMAD proteins, and it is studied in zebrafish regeneration, fibrosis and development.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|---|
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish kidney tissue, zebrafish colon tissue, zebrafish liver tissue, zebrafish testis tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish TGFB1A fragment (Ala266–Ser377), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
