Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets transmembrane protein 242 (gene tmem242) in zebrafish samples and is validated for IHC.
In zebrafish, tmem242 encodes a mitochondrial inner membrane protein. By similarity to the human protein, it acts as an assembly factor for mitochondrial ATP synthase, helping insert subunit c into the membrane and build the c-ring of the Fo motor. It is studied in mitochondrial energy metabolism.

|---|
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish intestine tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places transmembrane protein 242 in the mitochondrion inner membrane.
