Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes SUMO-conjugating enzyme UBC9-A (gene ube2ia) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
In zebrafish, ube2ia is one of two paralogs of UBC9, the E2 enzyme that attaches SUMO proteins to target proteins. It is needed for nuclear organization and chromosome segregation, and in zebrafish it is required for cell division during organ development and for nuclear localization of the transcription factor vsx1.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue, zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 12% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant zebrafish UBE2Ia/b fragment (Asn124–Ser158), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places SUMO-conjugating enzyme UBC9-A in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
