Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets vascular endothelial growth factor Ab isoform 1 precursor (gene vegfab) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC.
In zebrafish, vegfab is one of two paralogs of the vascular endothelial growth factor A gene, which arose from a fish genome duplication. It encodes a VEGF-A growth factor studied in zebrafish blood vessel development.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): zebrafish kidney tissue, zebrafish heart tissue, zebrafish brain tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.

Recombinant zebrafish VEGFAB fragment (Ala24–Arg252), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt describes vascular endothelial growth factor Ab isoform 1 precursor as a secreted protein. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
